Welcome to our hotel vegetable garden. A beautiful place where we grow a wide range of vegetables, flowers and herbs. The sleekly designed boxes, somewhat akin to a historic kitchen garden, are surrounded by borders with a variety of berry bushes and herbs. These herbs are not only used in cooking, but are also home to bees, butterflies and other insects. And so they in turn help pollinate our crops. Our cooks can be found daily in the kitchen garden to conjure up the most delicious dishes on your plate. Together with the garden team they decide what to grow. The garden team makes sure that the kitchen garden is ready for harvesting. Feast your eyes on this beautiful garden and enjoy Valk freshness on your plate!

Chemical pesticides

We do not use chemical pesticides. We use natural processes as much as possible when growing the vegetables, herbs and flowers. For example, we grow with crop rotation. Vegetables are divided into crop groups that are planted in the same place once every 5-6 years. This reduces the risk of diseases and pests. We also apply a layer of organic compost annually to improve nutrition in the soil. A healthy soil life is the basis for a healthy vegetable garden.
